Partner Spotlight
Philadelphia USO
The Philadelphia USO is a stand-alone nonprofit serving active duty and retired military.
“Working with Caring for Friends has saved us $75k-$100k in the past year – money we can put back into serving military, national guard, reserves, retirees, and their families.”
“Thanks to Caring For Friends,
we offer a taste of home.”
While many people think of the USO as a governmental organization, it is a stand-alone nonprofit serving active duty and retired military. Caring for Friends began partnering with the South Philadelphia location in 2021. Its mission: to offer care, comfort, and support for military members and families traveling through the airport.
It fulfills this mission by offering a TV room, Wi-Fi showers, dorm facilities, and a full commercial kitchen — and that’s where CFF has come in. Big.
“You are huge for us because you offer meal and nutrition support… In just one year, CFF has provided enough food to feed about 35,000 active-duty and retired military and their families.”
The food CFF provides offers USO savings so it can provide holiday meals for traveling families.
“Thanks to Caring For Friends, we offer a taste of home.”
We appreciate Brian and the team at the USO for
providing support to military families!
