Turn Service Hours into Meaningful Community Impact
We work with schools, athletic programs, and other departments in K-12 , Trade schools, Colleges, Graduate, and Medical programs to experience volunteering and fulfill service hours.
Volunteering with Caring for Friends gives students, employees, faith communities, and civic groups the opportunity to turn service hours into direct, measurable impact for neighbors facing hunger and isolation across Philadelphia and all five surrounding counties.
We can accommodate large groups or teams for hands-on projects such as preparing meals, packing food, assembling care items, and supporting food rescue efforts.
Volunteer experiences can take place at our large kitchen and food rescue facility in Northeast Philadelphia, or we can bring a customized service project directly to your school or organization. Every hour volunteered helps Caring for Friends provide nutritious food, friendship, and hope to homebound seniors, veterans, families, and pantry partners throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
We Are Able to Provide Thousands of Nutritious and Delicious Meals to millions of individuals in need in all 5 counties in Greater Philadelphia. Please consider a special donation from your school, organization, or family.
You or your group can collect non-perishable food that can be used for cooking meals or for our snack bags.
Anyone can make a donation whether it be monetary, food, or in-kind. All tax-deductible.
