Summer Internships
Join one of the Philadelphia region’s leading nonprofit food and friendship organizations and gain hands-on experience while helping neighbors facing hunger and isolation. Caring for Friends rpovides food and companionship for all 5-counties in Philadelphia and it’s warehouse is located in Northeast Philadelphia.
Volunteer Experience Intern
Help support one of the largest volunteer programs in the Philadelphia region. Work with individuals, schools, businesses, and community groups volunteering in Rita’s Kitchen, our Northeast Philadelphia kitchen, and off-site service projects.
Marketing Intern
Support mission-driven marketing, website updates, digital outreach, storytelling, and community engagement. Help us share the value and impact of Caring for Friends across Philadelphia.
Trade Internships
Get real-world experience in facility and warehouse operations, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, and related trade projects. Ideal for students in trade schools or technical programs.
Supply Chain Intern
Learn how a nonprofit food bank operates from the inside. Support warehouse flow, partner coordination, inventory processes, food distribution, technology improvements, and recommendations that help us better serve Philadelphia.
Ideal candidates: High school, college, or trade program students. 18 Years or older. Driver’s license preferred.
