Digital Media Coordinator

Caring for Friends is growing and seeks a Digital Media Coordinator to manage and elevate its digital presence. Reporting to the Managing Director of Communications and Corporate relations, the Coordinator is responsible for implementing marketing strategies on CFF’s website, social media properties, and through email, as well as reporting on performance and making recommendations for the future. The Coordinator should also stay current on digital marketing trends, and keep staff, board, and supporters aware of relevant news.  

CFF is a grassroots organization starting to build its processes and people, so there’s a lot of room for creativity and not a lot of red tape. We also understand that your life isn’t only about work which is why we are flexible and hybrid. 

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Develop with the Managing Director, and manage/implement an editorial calendar  
  • Update WordPress website and provide quarterly analytics, work in conjunction with vendor on more advanced updates 
  • Social media management:
    • Create graphics and post content (photos, audio, video)
    • Track activity, including fans/followers, and make recommendations based on results
    • Follow like-minded orgs, track relevant news and share on social media and with staff
  • Produce quarterly newsletters/eNewsletters:
    • Program
    • Analyze and report results
    • List management
  • Stay apprised of and report on industry trends
  • Build database of photography and graphics
  • Responsible for recommending, securing, and invoicing for digital media tools
  • Help recruit, screen, and manage an intern
  • Other responsibilities as assigned and may include research and event support  


  • Three years of experience managing digital media in a professional setting, nonprofit experience preferred 
  • Relevant college degree OR equivalent professional experience 
  • Highly experienced with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other sites/apps 
  • Proficient in digital tools including Canva, HootSuite, WordPress, MailChimp, and similar software 
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Creative, innovative, result-oriented person
  • Strong communicator who exercises good judgement
  • Works well as part of a team and independently
  • Must be available for occasional night and/or weekend work
  • Must comply with organization’s COVID-19 vaccination policies 

NOTE: Will consider remote applicants, though must be available on-site up to eight days a month for events and meetings when safe to do so
